Introduction of Freedom Kits in Pilot Schools
Helping female students to access education is especially important for them. Access to reusable and environmentally friendly menstrual hygiene products takes a significant stressor out of the lives of female students so they can attend and perform better in school. The Gorkha Foundation distributed 1,000 Freedom Kits to adolescent female students in grades 6 to 12 in the six schools participating in the Gorkha E-Learning Collaborative. Teachers and students have provided the Gorkha Foundation with encouraging feedback regarding these Freedom Kits.

• Tackle health problems preventing and reducing the occurrence of infections, immediately improves well-being and self-esteem;• Offer an immediate solution to coping with the physical, social manifestations of menstruation;
• Offer cleanliness, comfort and dignity;
• Is environmentally friendly.
