Material Support for Hospitals/Health Care Centers

During the second wave of COVID, hospitals and healthcare centers across Nepal was in critical need of many different supplies. This was true in Gorkha as well. While the approach of many organizations was to acquire supplies, and then distribute them based on which supplies were on hand (a top-down approach), the Gorkha Foundation took a more community-focused, needs-based approach to this emergency. Our response started with a needs assessment conducted with several area hospitals and health care centers. Then the Gorkha Foundation team worked hard to acquire the supplies that were specifically needed for each context.
